I treasure my time at St. John’s, both as a student (Class of 1987) and now as a teacher. I started teaching second grade at St. John’s in 1998. Vermillion township has always been my home and my family was a founding members of St. John the Baptist Church. I have served on the board of trustees for the Dakota County Historical Society and write articles for the monthly DCHS e-newsletter.
I am a graduate of Hastings High School, UW-Stout in Menomonie (Early Childhood Education), WI, and St. Mary’s University in Winona (Masters of Education). I am currently in the Archbishop Flynn Catechetical Institute’s Pillars Program, studying the Catholic Catechism in depth for two years. My favorite subject area is social studies, especially American history. I am the St. John’s School coordinator of Junior Achievement and Picturing America.
I have played the piano since the second grade, am a lifelong traveler (having visited 39 states and 19 countries), and enjoy watching baseball at all levels. I have become a great fan of wheelchair basketball, watching my Godson play varsity now and soon at the collegiate level.
