Paul Dieltz

I am honored to be the principal at St. John the Baptist Catholic School.  I believe elementary schools are one of the most important institutions in our lives because we have the opportunity to place students on a trajectory to success at an early age.   I feel blessed to be at a school where I can interact with students on a daily basis and can know each student, staff member, and family.

I grew up in the Como Park neighborhood of St. Paul and in White Bear Lake.  My early career included jobs working with adults with developmental disabilities, incarcerated men, and as a teaching assistant.  I began teaching physical education in 2009 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic School in Castro Valley, CA.  Since then, I have held jobs in Catholic schools as both a physical education teacher and a principal.  I joined St. John the Baptist Catholic School in July of 2020.

I hold a masters degree in history from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, a masters degree in educational leadership and administration from the University of St. Thomas, and a certificate in learning technology leadership and innovation from the University of St. Thomas.  I am currently completing a certificate in engineering education from the University of St. Thomas.

Please reach out to me with any questions you have about our school.
