A Message from the Pastor

Whether as a parent exploring school options for enrolling your child, a parent with a student already at St. John’s, or a supporter of Catholic education as either a parishioner or alum, thank you for seeking out St. John’s in Vermillion.  I am a passionate supporter of our Catholic schools, and particularly of St. John’s in Vermillion where uniquely we provide a safe and faith-filled environment for students to discover their interests and gifts to grow in academic excellence as leaders of tomorrow.  In our preschool through fourth grade our students are known by name as we instill a value-based foundation to serve a lifetime grounded in Jesus Christ and expressed in service to one another in ways that better our world for everyone.

St. John’s is a parish school that is supported by St. Mary in New Trier and St. Mathias in Hampton as partners in this effort.  All three parishes have a long history of supporting Catholic education that has evolved to one location with students coming from each parish and beyond.  Built on tradition, we use tradition, we use modern technology and curriculum to help our students grow to their fullest potential in ways that continue to distinguish them as leaders in their next school setting.

If you’re a parent, exploring school options, we’d love you to be a part of our community.  Please contact our school office to arrange a time to visit and experience firsthand the St. John’s difference.  If you’re already a parent, thanks for choosing St. John’s and know that we love partnering with you and welcome any way we can work together to support your child, you and your family.  If you’re a supporter, parishioner, or alum, thank you for your prayers and ongoing support that allows us to continue our mission of making Jesus Christ known and love in our times.

Blessings to you!
