Safe Environment

At St. John the Baptist Catholic School, we want to ensure a safe environment for all of our students, staff, and families.  We follow the policies and procedures set forth by the St. Paul Minneapolis Archdiocese.

Our Safe Environment Coordinator is Deb Sauer and she can be reached at [email protected] or at 651-437-2644.

All school employees and volunteers must complete the Essential Three before actively participating in programs at our school, where children are present.  To begin the process of completing the Essential Three, please contact the Safe Environment Coordinator.  The requirements are:

  • Background Check
  • Code of Conduct
  • In-Person Safe Environment Training Session

Once these initial requirements are met, you will need to complete updates periodically.  The Safe Environment Coordinator will notify you when updates need to be completed on your account.

Please note, the Essential Three requirements are not just for staff and parents.  Anyone wishing to volunteer at the school, attend field trips, or work with children at a school sponsored function, will need to complete the three components.  This include grandparents, family and friends of the students and St. John the Baptist School.

Should you have any questions, please contact the Safe Environment Coordinator or Principal at any time.

Archdiocesan Victim Assistance Hotline: 651-291-4475.  THe coordinator is Janell Rasmussen.
