St. John’s offers summer programming during the last two weeks in June and for three weeks during July (we take the 4th of July week off). Summer programs run Monday – Thursday, 9 am-3 pm. The first week is Vacation Bible School, and the following weeks are themed camps, this year with themes such as Space Explorers, Down on the Farm, and Under the Sea.
Summer camps include daily activities connected to the theme, as well as in-house visits from the Bakken Museum, Carpenter Nature Center, and local 4-H. Students must be entering kindergarten – 5th grade to participate. Students who have not yet turned five are unable to participate. Summer programming is open to students who do not attend our school during the year. Before and after camp care is available.
