What are your school hours?
Our school day begins at 8:50 am and ends at 3:30 pm.
Is busing available?
District 200 (Hastings Public School District) operates buses for our students. Parents will be notified when and where the bus will stop for their children. The public school has sole discretion, control, and management of scheduling, routes, bus stop locations, and discipline.
Do you offer Extended Day?
St. John the Baptist Catholic School offers a Before and After School Enrichment (BASE) program on regular school days, Monday through Friday. Students enjoy a safe, supervised environment filled with fun, games, homework time, and active play.
Does my child have to be Catholic to attend?
Families of all faiths are welcome at St. John the Baptist Catholic School. While we proudly teach and live the Catholic faith, we value and respect the diverse backgrounds of our students and work to create a welcoming, Christ‑centered community for all.
Is there financial aid available?
St. John the Baptist Catholic School offers financial assistance based on demonstrated need and available funds. Families may apply through the TADS tuition assistance application and are required to submit financial documentation.
Do students wear uniforms?
All students, preschool – 4th grade, are required to wear uniforms.
What is the preschool admissions policy?
St. John the Baptist Catholic School offers preschool to 3-5-year-olds. Students must be a minimum of 33 months old and toilet-trained. We have two classrooms and are licensed for up to 42 students.
What is the kindergarten admissions policy?
Students entering Kindergarten must be 5 years of age before the first day of September of the Kindergarten year.
Do the students attend Mass?
K-4 students attend and assist with Mass every Wednesday at 9:00 am. Preschoolers will begin attending Mass in October, on the first Wednesday of the month. In addition, there are Holy Day Masses, Stations of the Cross, and prayer services throughout the year.
